What is the ONE Campaign?

MjjM Salons’ ONE Campaign is a 4-month long effort to raise money for a group of worthwhile non-profit organizations; a fundraiser that everyone can get excited about!
Our Team Members in each region nominated the organizations that are a part of the ONE Campaign; they are passionate about these charities, and about making a difference in our community and the world. There will be many incentives and fun promotions to get involved with throughout the 4 months, so be sure to stay connected by stopping by your favorite SUPERCUTS, pinning with us on Pinterest, and following us on our Facebook page.
At the end of the Campaign, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to these worthwhile organizations.

COMPANY-WIDE CHARITY
Our hearts continue to go out to those affected by the tragedy in Boston on April 15th, 2013. In the aftermath of the devastation, we’ve witnessed incredible acts of humanity, courage, and support from the community at large that we are so proud to be a part of.
In light of this event, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino announced the formation of The One Fund Boston, Inc., to help the individuals and families most affected by the tragic events on Marathon Monday.
NEW HAMPSHIRE CHARITIES
The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a community resource center bringing animals and people together. They provide adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The NHSCPA run events such as the Doggie Paddle Plunge, the Paws Walk , and many Adoption Events which bring the community together and promotes awareness for animals in need. The Alzheimer’s Association is committed to accelerating progress of new treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure for the devastating disease that affects an estimated 5.2 million Americans. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association serves people who are affected by pulmonary hypertension and strives to help them lead better lives. Arts in Reach (AIR) empowers teenage girls through mentoring and the arts. The organization offers 10 annual programs in dance, theater, music, film, visual arts and career development after school and during school vacation, led by professional artists. They are committed to making programs accessible to lower income youth by charging no fees and assisting in transportation. AIR envisions a community in which all young women are respected, supported, and enriched throughout their teenage years, and provides a landscape for them to pursue and express their own authentic identities. The Maine Down Syndrome Networkis a network of families, professionals & community members in Maine who share the common goal of promoting awareness and acceptance of people with DS; they offer support, education and advocacy to their members, and to their communities. Angel Flight NE provides free air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots to patients and their families whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive treatment or diagnosis, or who may live in rural areas without access to commercial airlines. Angel Flight makes it possible for them to access life saving critical medical care free of charge. They also transport organs and blood for transplants, and run compassion flights. Learn more at www.promangels.org The Neely House at Tufts Medical Center (a part of the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care) is a bed and breakfast style home away from home for cancer patients and their families. It provides an environment where they are able to talk with others in similar situations, while being near loved ones in a warm, home-like setting. Over 5,500 families have stayed at The Neely House. The Hope For Caroline foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, supporting families of children diagnosed with DIPG and funding research for a cure. DIPG is an inoperable malignant brain tumor with no known cure, with a survival rate of less than 2%. The foundation was set up in honor of Caroline (Calle), a beautiful 5 year old girl who was recently diagnosed with DIPG, and is working to bring hope to affected children and their families where today there is very little.
